Carbon Footprinting
A carbon footprint is a detailed inventory of your firms’ greenhouse gas emissions.
At it’s most simple level a carbon footprint simply divides greenhouse gas emissions into three “scopes” (direct emissions, indirect emissions and electricity use) and reports the relative contribution from each of these sources.
However a comprehensive carbon footprint (such as DYB prepare) provides much more detail than this, breaking down direct emissions by source, identifying major industrial electricity uses and dividing indirect emissions by type and volume.
This allows us to easily identify for you where carbon efficiency efforts will be most productive and cost effective.
Because our carbon analysis is often much more detailed than other firms’ DYB can also provide a simplified “disclosure only” version suitable for publication in public relations material and corporate reporting.
