Best Practice Certification

For some industries it may just not be possible to be Carbon Neutral. Some industries (such as steel smelting or waste management) may not be Carbon Neutral until significant technical advances are made in fuel and energy research.

If your firm is on the road to being Carbon Neutral but can’t get there yet (perhaps due to a dependence on electricity or fossil fuels) one option is “Carbon Effective Best Practice” certification. CEBP (based on ISO14001) certifies that your firm is employing industry best-practice methods to reduce emissions.

This involves a very similar process to the one described above and certifies that your business is reducing emissions to the lowest level practicable. This allows you to know that your firm is doing it’s part, even if 100% offsetting isn’t feasible.
